AUBURN LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD MAGGIE TRIMBLE MAKES HER MARK IN THE WORLD OF ATHLETICS Margaret Trimble is a
legend in high school sports at Auburn Senior High School and beyond. She
retired in 1981 after over 25 years in Auburn. Last Ap If you went to Auburn High, you knew Mrs. Trimble. She was known for getting the best out of you and giving a chuckle now and then just to let you know that she cared. She had no problem sending whiners to the showers to ponder an attitude adjustment or hollering out a well deserved “Way to go!” to those that put their best effort forward. She was an enigma. You loved her, you feared her, you respected her but above all, you listened to her. She had lessons to teach beyond sports and teamwork. She helped build the character of many that were lucky enough to have her for a teacher and a friend. To this day, she is a woman of her convictions and contributions to those around her. At 82, she has led and continues to live a life full of students, friends and sports in one form or another. When the Auburn Good Ol’ Days Steering Committee decided to create a Lifetime Achievement Award for the festival, she was the obvious choice. This award will be given annually to someone of any age that has helped form the character and progress of the Auburn community through dedication and accomplishments. After all of these years, this one is for you, Maggie…. “Way to go!” Royalty Sponsored by Valley Bank and The Auburn Senior Activity Center |
