DAVID
D. HOROWITZ founded and manages Rose Alley Press, which primarily
publishes books featuring Pacific Northwest rhymed metrical poetry. His own
collections, from Rose Alley Press, are Stars Beyond the Battlesmoke;
Wildfire, Candleflame; Resin from the Rain; and
Streetlamp, Treetop, Star. Many of his poems have been published in fine
literary journals, such as The Lyric, Candelabrum, and
The New Formalist. His essays often appear in Exterminating Angel. In
2005 he won the PoetsWest Achievement Award. In 2007 he edited and
published the poetry anthology Limbs of the Pine, Peaks of the Range.
In October 2010, David will publish Many Trails to the Summit, the
second Rose Alley Press poetry anthology, which he also edited. His Web site

Rose Alley Press was founded in
1995 by Seattle poet and essayist David D. Horowitz. David primarily publishes
books featuring Pacific Northwest rhymed metrical poetry. He also writes and
publishes From Notebook to Bookshelf, an annually updated booklet
about writing and publishing. To date, Rose Alley Press has published thirteen
books, including collections by Seattle-area poets William Dunlop, Victoria
Ford, Donald Kentop, Douglas Schuder, Michael Spence, and Joannie Kervran Stangeland.
In 2007, David published the first Rose Alley Press poetry, Limbs of the
Pine, Peaks of the Range, which included the work of twenty-six poets.
The second Rose Alley Press poetry anthology, Many Trails to the Summit,
is due out in October 2010, and includes the work of forty-two poets. These
poets include Sherman Alexie, Belle Randall, David Mason, Robert Lashley,
Richard Wakefield, Joan Swift, Derek Sheffield, and many others. For more
